Damon has appeared in national stage productions and has opened for some of the biggest names in R&B and jazz. In 2000, his “Lay With Me” single, produced with Axis Music Group’s acclaimed James Poyser and Victor Duplaix of AMG was released by legendary Kenneth Gamble’s and Leon Huff’s Philadelphia International label.
Damon began singing in the church, in front of a strict, holiness congregation in the heart of North Philadelphia. As a teenager Damon started singing about love and universal emotions on the local talent-show circuit. Damon later became a fixture in the Philadelphia International offices and studio, even recording a duet with the legendary Phyllis Hyman on her “Forever With You” album, titled” Funny How Love Goes.”
In Fall 2005, his Atlantic City “Damon & Friends” show packed the house of the TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia) lounge of the Tropicana Hotel & Casino. His talents are hardly limited to solo musical performances. Damon has also toured with a number of national gospel stage productions. These include A Good Man is Hard to Find, Ain’t No Woman Like the One I Got, Why Good Girls Like Bad Boys and Tell It Like It ‘Tis.
